Firstly we can’t defend. We couldn’t last year and haven’t through preseason. We can score if we can keep the ball. Salford will have done their homework on us and will come at us, that should hopefully give opportunities for us to attack on the counter.

I predict a 2-3 win for the vale, tolaj, Paton and Garrick.

Is Garrick the new right back mate? 😅

The lads should be really fired up for this after all their hard work in pre season. They look slim and fit. Pre season seems to have lasted an age but this is it at last!
No idea of a lineup or formation and it will be interesting to see how Saturday pans out.
Not interested in cagey sitting back in the slightest we have to be on the front foot and play with intensity and press.
One thing, Ben is wasted centre mid, he has to play no 10 for me.
Gwarrrrn lads, UTV [emoji123]

One or two journalists saying there could be postponements across the EFL this weekend due to the riots.

Don’t be surprised if our game is one of the then, as I’d imagine Manchester will be one the targeted locations.

Such a shame.

Garrick! Blooming apple autocorrect!

I can't see the start of the season going very well based off pre season. Most people say pre season means nothing and in some cases it can be true. The main thing I was worried about was how easy bolton managed to pass through are very rigid lines resultimg in multiple goals (some silly mistakes to). I'm sure this is something any team with a compatant manager will look to do. On top of that it was obvious the squad hadn't gelled yet.

It will be a smaller game surely they have the resources to keep it on.

I'm not to sure about that. Either they aren’t fit enough or they're all absolutely knackered. Again based off pre season.

Yeah, different strokes for Smith and Byers given they're behind the main group, but they were about.

Lowe wasn't out there, I believe he picked up a knock on Saturday.

Lowe didn't look to bad on Saturday to be fair to him.

Sell out Away end maybe the issue, if there is protests planned in Manchester Saturday it may be an issue but hopefully not.

I think a bigger consideration will be racists people with legitimate concerns spilling out of the stadium footprint and antagonising the local community around the Prestwich / Bury New Road area.
