An evening with DM & Matt Hancock - Thurs 2nd May

All sounds fairly positive.
I was chatting to a mate who's an Albion fan, and he said they still love Big Dave.
I mentioned about the number of Vale fans saying "erm" all the time, and he (and I) both thought that it's perhaps because he's a Brummie that he doesn't come across well.
Not everyone can be a good public speaker. What matters is him getting the players organised and motivated to win matches and get us promoted.
I too know some albion fans they love him and say he is an excellent manager. We need give him time to build his own team.

What’s the data on “players with an edge” ?
number of yellow and red cards ?

If you know players and worked with them you know what their mentality is like when things don’t go your way which is the most important thing.

Players with a CV of promotion(s) and games played over the past 3 seasons is all I need to see in data analysis.

Ship out these losers. Too many in our squad have relegation experience rather than promotion. That’s going to change.

Big mentality shift incoming.

A bit like werestayinup said when we were after Moore but if we sign Bannan I’ll personally deliver bacon and cheese oatcakes in bed to every OVFer including those in Houston, Melbourne and Thailand.

makes us look deluded that people are seriously discussing Bannan signing for us in league 2.  Reminds me of when people on here thought we were gonna sign Scholes 😂

Watched the stream and came away feeling positive, think Moore's personality finally came out and it was good to see.

He was quite open and honest so see what happens. Bannan is a very long shot but I suppose big names have dropped to L2 in recent times.

Bannan and Ojo as play makers deep lying, with Garrity and Chis in front... that would be pretty special mind!

Some deluded posts on here this morning. Vale are league two and Bannan won't even think of coming here... Money talks he would probably join another league one club.

Maybe asking Gibbons back on a 12 year deal and Stone is the realistic possibity.

Uche is a carthorse... Get rid.. But he won't... Would have been better keeping Wilson!!

Remember when you tried to sign Robbie Fowler ?🤣🤣

It would be interesting to know who the players were he we were interested in, who played against us for other teams. Also why they didn’t come to us.?

Sadly it would be a shame not to have programmes anymore but with the figures mentioned last night it’s totally understandable. I’m wondering if there could be an electronic programme, that you have to purchase. For me still not the same as having a physical copy but it’s the way that the world is going. It would make sense than to have nothing at all.

The most significant piece of information of the night was what Matt Hancock said about Carol and her family. That Carol was going to be less visible in the future and gave the reasons why but the family's commitment to Vale is to be as strong as ever or words to that effect.

The family shouldn't be beyond criticism and/or comment but I hope if/when it's levelled in the future  it's done with respect.

Just imagine what such a meeting would have been like if The Shanahan family had decided to walk away, there would have been no talk of signings, formations, tactics  etc.

Totally agree with this comment.

Matt was completely right at the meeting by saying that social media can be a brilliant form of communication but also completely the opposite when in the hands of people who think they can say what they like via it because they are not accountable.

It's a sad world, and getting ever more so, when someone gets pleasure from filming and distributing someone else's grief.

I don't confine this just to the incident in the Valiant Suite as its rife these days in so many situations.

Whatever happened to compassion?
