Summer transfer rumours and speculation

Featured Replies

Gotta love the undisclosed fee line. Optimists think it’s millions and pessimists just a formality to cover player train fare and removals. would be nice to see the + - to compare to squad upgrade though.

I see from Twitter that the Yak has gone to St Mirren

You are right on the ball.

Any other insights you may have?

Any truth that we are interested in signing Paton from Queens Park?

No more yak and southgate all in one day. What a day

Wonder if this reopens the Michael Hector rumour.

Really not happy about getting all our business done early!!! What about the deadline day dead wood we normally sign!

Perhaps this means some of the dead wood might be going the other way at the last minute for a change, once other clubs panic that they need another body to fill a position.

to be fair, the fee will be minimal like £10k to £20k but I agree with you better to have that and have nothing. Great business

Agree great business indeed. There were concerns expressed on here that to get other clubs to take on our ‘undesirables’’ we would potentially have to consider supplementing their wages and adversely impact our buying budget, but looks like other clubs see these players as being better than we (fans especially) do.  Hope this trend continues for those who are still at the club but are not part of DM’s plans.

He was pants but always tried his best. Hall is a huge upgrade.

He was pants but he always tried his best, Yakety Yak, Yakety Yak

The legend lives on. We should sing this song next season like Man U do for former players

Hector would be just what we need seemingly, I know travel for players isn't perhaps what it used to be but he's never been north of Watford gap as a permanent contract.

Would he consider the midlands at 31/32? He's had a few season loans Sheffield, Hull and even to Germany so possibly.  I'd be delighted if we could get someone like him.

Deadline day nervousness could still be a thing.  We still have a couple of players other teams might make a last minute bid for (Ben G & Chizzy) and we’ll need to bring in replacements, hopefully with big Dave’s persuasive powers they’ll be deadline day dead good rather than dead wood.😉

Random question but I can’t find the answer on google. What is Carols involvement now in Synectics. We know a large figure was banded about in February but am I right in thinking she didn’t actually sell up but the company took in massive investment?

I think she and Kevin sold there shares in the company reportedly for £180 million. As part of the deal though she still retains a place on the board.

Considering we all expected us to have to pay players off to get rid of them getting even 10 or 20k is superb and as you say great business
