Thank you for the short memories ‘ Yak ‘ I actually liked the nut case! Yes he wasn’t great technically & was ever so clumsy at times with minimal pace but one thing he always did was wore the shirt with pride. And there was a spell before his injury where he was our best defender. All the best in your next chapter you crazy specimen 👊🏻 💙 All that being said it’s the correct decision

I'm guessing it's in the business plan, as we started doing it when Flitcroft was at the club, we got fees for Walker who went to Tranmere and that Johnson lad defender barely played think we sold him to Stockport?  Whether it was his idea or not I don't know but may be one of the few good things the club implemented on his watch😁
 

Undisclosed can mean anything from a free transfer to world record amount. In this case undisclosed is likely to be much closer to free than a world record. I think his replacement was Connor Hall. Hancock said some players had been brought in with the anticipation of others leaving. If we are playing 4231 this season we still have 5 centrehalves on the books, if you include Lowe. People might not rate some of the options but they still need to be paid. If we are playing 343 as our main formation then maybe one more. Assuming Smith would be in the centre of a 3 it really needs to be someone with a degree of mobility to play on the right.

The yak was leaving before last season ended. Even when he was fit he was never in Moore’s plans, so I’d predict the answer to that is no. Sure he’s had players lined up regardless of when he eventually managed to move Yak on. One thing I will say is I’m not a big fan of this bollox about managing his workload & integrating him back into the squad. We all knew full well what was going on. Why not come out & just say we’ve had offers on the table. I know it doesn’t really matter which is what you’ll say 😂 a bit of honesty is always nice especially from a supporters perspective & even for the player himself. Wish him all the best either way

Just the usual bluff going on, still in our plans if you want him you will have to pay, not getting him for nothing. Pretty sure Yak would know the situation, Vale tend to keep things under wraps nowadays.

You can't help thinking DM must have been horrified at what he wittnessed the last few games! He's a ex pro and a half decent manager! I think a number of players have had there cards marked for a while! The transformation of the squad is remarkable! Hopefully the loosing mentality has gone and a lot more grit brought in

He’s under contract there would have been some fee regardless, yeah I get keeping things under wraps just after 2 years of poor communication ( admitted by the club ) alongside a certain someone spouting a pack of lies it just got under my skin a little. It is what it is mate 👍🏻 It’s more great business at the end of it all

Indeed the recording of Vale's defending against Barnsley away, Lincoln, Shrewsbury and Exeter at home(2nd half) is x rated!🫣

For me just Jones to go now, we can live with the rest.

Jones definitely should go. I don't see where Grant gets a game and I suspect he will be one of our biggest wages too so we could really do with moving him on. Keeping Lowe wouldn't be the end of the world purely because he can fill in at several positions for injuries and suspensions so worth having as a backup option.
