There is a back story with Paton, when Hibs let him go he couldn't afford the heating or to heat Pot Noodles. Pretty much lived on the edge for 12 months to make his way in the game.  

He's clearly been sold something in terms of how we will play and how he fits in. I suspect he'll be on the right of a front 3. or right of a 3 in a 4 2 3 1 initially.

Young , hungry and can score a goal. Th exact striker you want to get out of this league again.

It’s those sort of people who appreciate opportunities & have gratitude in life. You can see that in abundance in his interview, states he just loves football & can see he’s gonna give it absolutely everything at Vale. Roll on August 10th. I’m not buying into Stockley having the striker role nailed either I honestly think it’s a even race between the 3 of them right now with Dipepa learning his trade off them & getting substitute cameos unless he goes. I think I’ve already fallen in love with Rauri 😂

Similar for Garrity, in terms of taking his chance. Playing amateurish level until he was 23 odd, doing an engineering apprenticeship. Then he went on to score 12 in L2 and 9 in L1 from centre mid and has become a player we were worried to lose to a big transfer offer this season.

As an estimate I’d say we have spent around 300k on transfer fees so far. 
In the reality of the modern game I think that’s fair enough and if you want to succeed you’ve got to pay money for players as opposed to wait and wait and wait for players to come available that basically other clubs don’t want. 
 

It’s been perfect business so far. 
If it all fails we can’t blame the window. 
These signings so far are brought in to get this club promoted at the first time of asking. 
And let’s not forget that we have Garrity and Chizzy still. And I’m sure those lads will be buzzing at the signings we are making and what the future will hold.

For those two lads I’ll say the grass isn’t always greener when players leave Vale.

In particular, Garrity has got a chance to cement his footballing legacy at this club now we are showing real ambition.

He is loved to the core and then some. 

Strap an armband on him and let him lead this team to glory.

A lot of folk can relate to having little and fighting make there way through life .

I've warmed to him already hope he smashes it and all Vale fans encourage him to do so

I would love to see Garrity get a 2yr extension now to give him 3yrs and as you say get the captaincy,he will surely see what we are trying to do now and going for it

If can get a few out and add a few more obvious ones no reason why we cannot become a good watch again I dare say if we added the 3 strikers we have now in league 1 we be a much better watch in fact all the signings in league 1 would have improved us immensely .

Agreed but with Moore saying the new captain will be coming in this transfer window id be suprised
