    Don't care how ugly the match was, the following happened.

    • Loft finally scored for Vale.  Does loads of work on the pitch, just couldn't get the ball over the line.  He deserved the goal for all his work.
    • Vale players had some fight in them.
    • Concentrated.
    • Seemed to playing as a team again.

    Well done Vale players, staff.

    What a week this has been.  Finally getting rid of Fraudcroft and things change.  Could this team actually do the miracle thing.

    Decent performance and thoroughly deserved the win. Loft will get the plaudits and he certainly had a decent game in the second half but MOM for we was Smith, great to see him back to form, gave the Burton forwards nothing all game.
