Vale fans love a protest. Well overdue one.

I'd hazard a guess that all the other teams that look like they are being relegated are not trying to arrange protests against somebody. It's in the Vale blood and I wondered how long it would be before the coffin comes back out.

It's been going on for 18 months now though where we are not learning any lessons.

Any other clubs been dicing with relegation like us before actually succumbing to it?

Quite right. We should have meekly stuck with V2001.

No Bri we are very special and the only club that have struggled for a couple of seasons after going up.

This is how I feel.

I really can't be bothered with League Two.

Turning up for home games where the away side have brought 100 fans and stithouse their way to a 1-0 win.

Everyone deserves to be in whatever league they end up in - but it's all so avoidable ending up in L2 again.

I went to Wimbledon v Bradford in October, to get the ground in when we were called off for international break.

Might as well of waited !

Realistically I think we have a good crop of youngsters who can provide adequate back up in League 2 but only really Walters and Shorrock should be potential starters. Players to keep: Ripley, Leutwiler as backup, Debrah, Smith (but think he wants to leave), Clark, Garrity, Chislett, Plant, Jones, Sang, Ojo, Walters, Dipepa, Lomax, Shorrock, Ikpeazu, Wilson. Can't see Uche staying. Wilson is worth keeping on a smaller wage but he has to be one of 4. I make we need about 7/8 additions and we are desperate for leaders and physicality.

Totally agree. The promotion season was nice, but part of that was because going to any live football match felt like an event after Covid. It was also a sense that we had a talented manager who had assembled a strong squad.

However I have been to places like Gillingham, Salford, Accrington, Barrow, Barnet, Colchester etc depresses me like nothing else.

We get glamour ties against Bradford and Chesterfield to look forward to if we are lucky.

Carol seems alright with that, so we can either presume she won’t be watching much of these games or isn’t a fan in the first place. If I had bought the club and had seen it not win in the new year and was facing a season or more of Div 4 football, I’d be fuming with myself for letting it happen. Or at least Flitcroft for masterminding it.

Well there’s one thing for sure we never came to terms with league one! Defensively shocking conceding two and three goals a game ! Very overwhelmed at times and just watched the better teams play. Absolutely no steel or guts in the team we have just given up with a whimper. The reset is going to take sometime at best we could be in league two for a while. I am not at all confident we can get back up anytime soon. All the gains the club has made over the last few years lost! Back to three and four thousand crowds sadly.

Yeh completely agree.

We may have beaten Mansfield at Wembley but they will be in League One next season and we will  be back struggling in League 2.

The ups and downs of Football !

I don’t think any of the young lads as starters yet , neither are they players to build a squad around yet. There’s a long way to go in their development.

The person who was in the coffin is starting ahead of Loft on Tuesday.
