Root: from Greek 'phila' meaning 'lover of' and 'anthropos' meaning humanity. So in the broadest sense of the word Mother Teresa (Saint Teresa of Calcutta) was a philanthropist, but in the modern sense it's used to refer to rich people who give money to help people worse off. Is Carol in that category? I'll let you make your mind up on that one.

Not having that. If the current DF situation tells us anything, it's that you can just be responsible for the good stuff. It was a great time for Vale, but Rudge wouldn't have worked without Bell and vice versa.

A poster on here yesterday said he spoke with an employee at synectics about it and they said it has defo been sold , So UTV

V2001 was only ever supposed to be a vehicle to keep the ownership out of Icelandic hands (who planned to merge Vale and Stoke) and then to pass to someone who had money to take us forward. Unfortunately Bratty loved the limelight too much, to the detriment of Port Vale. 

V2001 had Port Vale at heart. If it wasn't for a couple of bad apples in the bunch it may well have worked out.

Having seen the video of Carol being emotional on here and ppl saying that she has been trolled. I think she should just try and sell the club and enjoy her retirement
