7 months later he is appointed as manager of Port Vale FC until 2029. !!!

Its a great appointment , but dont expect too much too soon , its still the same players .

Credit where it is due that is an appointment I thought was beyond us.

Very good record and well regarded in the game. 

Intrigued to see which tactical system he uses. Was known for using 3 at the back at West Brom and Wednesday but a 4–2-3-1 at Doncaster.

Unreal appointment by PVFC.  DF and Carol have received some unwarranted grief, during a traumatic period for PVFC. YES it has been really difficult period for all Vale fans and with disappointing previous appointments and NO disrespect to Andy Crosby, his appointment was so under whelming.

 But Darren Moore's appointment has to be Vale's best appointment since either Micky Adams or John Rudge and with Darren Moore signing a five and a half year contract, it means Vale hierarchy mean serious business. 

 Darren Moore was not only a good player, but also cut his managerial career first at WBA, followed by a successful stint at Doncaster Rovers, he then went big time at Sheffield Wednesday doing a fantastic job. Reawakening a sleeping South Yorkshire giant. His demise at Hillsbrough was taken by most Owls fans as nothing short of disgraceful, by Owls shambolic owner and look what DM Wednesday demise has done to The Owls. They are starring down the barrel of relegation back to League One. When DM took on Huddersfield Town he was on a hiding to nothing and YES it failed to work out. But since Huddesfield slipped out of The Premier League they have been struggling in the lower reaches of The Championship.

DM can now rekindle his ambitions and rejuvenate the Vale support. Let's hope with 17 league games to go DM can save Vale from the dreaded drop and gain positivity for his managerial reign at Vale Park.

Five years to re build go forward and yes get championship ready. If he does well and another club comes for him then compensation.

We have a proven manager with higher league experience he will deliver given the backing.

Put some stadium project a side for a couple of years (a part from the toilet situation) and divert funds for the 1st team.

Well done Carol and DF for getting DM in. First priority L1 status then build for the future.

More optimistic of L1 survival now and with the game off tonight billy bonus more time to access the team and put things in place.

How appalling is that.

And without the handbrake that is Moore we beat Wednesday 4-0 and gave Southampton a game. 

At least you are paying his wages now rather than the ones he stole of us.

Hold on to that resentment lad! Your on the decline & have been for a few years now. All but one manager have struggled since you come down so it’s a blip on his cv for me. I’d rather look at his success & vasts amounts of experience thanks 👍🏻 Swear I read you’ve had 12 managers in 5 years that’s absolutely bonkers
