I'd heard he'd joined British Airways as a pilot. With auto pilot you don't need to do much these days. Less complex than controlling 25 human beings chasing after a ball.

The problem is with quoting bookies odds, is they mostly follow where the money is placed. So rumours that Moore was seen in an exec box at Vale Park would have got a lot of people, rushing down to the bookies. Of course that rumour has turned out to be false. I have no idea who will be picked. Just saying treat bookies odds with a little bit of caution.

Moore would be nice though as would Bonner

I hadn't realised our recent run was so bad. It seems like a slow death. I've been as positive as I can but our defending is dreadful. First half we played well against Stevenage,within 10 minutes we are behind and chasing the game.

Rooney could buy the club and spend his way out of trouble if he so wished.

The Vale all ran off down the tunnel and didn't watch what Stevenage's coaching team were doing. They were straight on to highlights of the first half. You could see this in the Lorne Street stand. Then the subs come on. They of course identified our 3 CDs and 2WBs as inflexible. Targeted the LWB and easily scored 2 goals with him isolated and the CDs standing there in front of goal immobile. It is truly stunningly boring watching us make the same mistakes over and over again with this inept formation. I don't blame the temporary management team as what are they supposed to do in the time available and with limited authority to change things.

I agree with Flitcroft on this one, I'm sure Rooney would get us out of this division.
