They're not a good side.  They have a few good players but you can say that about just about every team in the league. Even ourselves. I never felt for a moment we were winning this game. Why would I when we have a donkey up front, a donkey off the bench to replace him, and bang average League Two defenders?

They are at home. They’ve now won 10 of their last 11 at home you can’t deny that’s not impressive & they’ve scored in every single one of them. I don’t disagree with your other points 👍🏻

Think you should all take a good look at yourselves.

Flitcroft nearly signed 9 players and he absolutely smashed every single target Carol retrospectively set for him the other week.

This abuse simply must stop.

Vale nearly stayed in League 2

Jones was injured (and <ovf censored>). Unfortunately, Grant is even worse. Mighten was knackered. Unsure about Chislett.

We have the Yak on the bench, isn’t he a defender? Grant is a winger not a left back.

We did okay for about 70 minutes but if you can’t keep a clean sheet and don’t look like scoring then it’s a recipe for disaster.

And have no legs in the middle of the park.

What I'd give to have Benning back.

Benning's work rate and attitude I always thought were great assets even if he wasn't technically a great player. Definitely a transfer move we've regretted because I highly doubt Grant is on the same wages.

Grant is just a player trading off his CV, just not good enough.

Fail to win Saturday I think we’re down

Idk if you’ve ever seen Yak play but he looks like he’s towing a caravan even at the best of times. No way he can play left back.

To be honest we should not even be playing this match we should of had a 3pt walk over when they stormed the pitch. Efl took sympathy on them and that was always going to come bk and bit us

But we knew this before mate it’s nothing new. I don’t agree reading are woeful they’ve got a good record at home especially recently. They will be comfortably clear end of the season & they’ve had 4 points deducted

Defensively we are beyond woeful, we give the ball away too easily, the opposition transition down the wings we just cave, give too many yards away, backing off….. we don’t close any purposeful/attacking pass down, too easy to get into our box… that last goal, 5, FIVE vale players inside the 6 side box + the goalkeeper and we still concede, every single one of them flat footed, they had 2, maybe 3 players in the 6 yard box, including the incoming goalscorer.

It’s a joke, unless they sharpen up, react quicker and defend higher up the pitch, instead of having 7-8 players defending the box as the opposition is attacking… feels like we have a defend the box mentality or way of playing and we are just conceding too many!

We are going down, there’s nothing to suggest it’s going to get any better (yet)

Maybe they're a bit better than what I give them credit for. I'm fine with that. But I don't understand these calls about us doing well in the game. We were always going to fade in the second half, always going to make crap substitutions because we have tossers like Wilson on the bench, always going to gift opposition chances and goals because that's just what we have done all season.

The biggest problem at this club right now is Carol. Couldn't care less if people think she's Mother Theresa.

Indeed. People keep hammering Flitcroft, but she is his biggest cheerleader and clearly cut the budget at the start of the season when the warnings that we needed more were clear from how the previous one finished.

Second half syndrome again?
