I said this morning 5 wins & 2 draws keeps us up. Where they come from i honestly don’t know 🤷‍♂️ I have a glimmer of hope of Lincoln, Fleetwood, Shrewsbury, Exeter & Cambridge at home & a point at burton. We desperately needed some result today we couldn’t lose! I have to say I fear the worse now and we’re going down. What a whimper of a season it’s been horrendous

I’m not going to lie, my patience with carol is beginning to wear quite thin. It’s balls up after balls up. And we heading are back where we started 5 years ago.

Yep, I'm heading the same way.

The letter was the final straw. It's not just a disagreement - it's a refusal to even see our perspective and belittling us despite the overwhelming evidence.

It just strikes as someone who hasn't a clue what she's doing.

Do you know what? I'm going to call it now. If or  when we go down, Darren Moore will not be here next season

The really exciting thing for me as a South London Valliant is that league 2 football means loads of away matches down south. (Small crumb of comfort)

black and gold until Sh/tcroft is told

Really don't think DM had many other options with his subs. It's not his fault we have the most unbalanced team I've seen at the Vale. Grant was woeful and I hope DM sees this and looks to find a different square peg for the left back hole but his options are dire (especially with a square peg in at right back already). Mighten could possibly single handedly drag us out of this mess when he's up to full match fitness but clearly needed a rest.

Thought we were fine for an hour. Some decent play up top, loft, chis and mighten looked good. As soon as Grant came on we got battered. Didn’t like the subs of loft, mighten and chislett. Dont understand why he would make those changes. Last chance Saturday imo. We deserve to go down

Really don’t see what you see in Loft, he was <ovf censored> again tonight. But 100% agree with your other comments bar last chance Saturday….we are down, even if we win on Saturday.

We are certainly down. But atleast there was a bit of fight in them today. That first goal killed us.

Carol has spent her money in the wrong areas. It's money spent on the players on the pitch that keeps you in this division. Everything else plays second fiddle, I appreciate the ground has to confirm to legal requirements but we are going down. We don't need a DOF  but what we desperately need is a goalscorer. The man responsible for everything the ball touches nearly took us down last season ,I'm convinced he will go one better this season. Why is is still here ? Must read Carols letter again.

Because she isn't a football woman. Wasn't when she bought the club and isn't now. She's undeniably a nice woman. Probably too nice for her own good in some instances. But a lack of football intelligence, a lack of funds and a whole lot of trust and faith in a Jester who blagged his way into a position he's not fit for purpose, we're seeing the fruits of the labour play out in regards to these things.

There were a few, scant positives there:

  • It was a bit better than we have been recently
  • Mighten looked lively for a bit
  • Weir showed something (though still not convinced)
  • Garrity is fit again

However:

  • 3 wins in 27
  • Nothing in the final third
  • Mayhem at the back
  • Grant is an absolute fraud
  • Moore doesn't have a great track record in relegation battles

Dont know what your on about. Appointing a manager as DOF and her son as CEO in place of a well respected and very good man were strokes of complete genius.

I called it at half-time. I'm not saying that because it makes me feel good. I want to see Vale win. I want to see Loft score. But I knew what was coming regardless of us being alright-ish in the first half. As I said days ago, we're down and I've accepted it. Everybody else should follow suit for their own sanity. But Carol and Dave are a major issue and major changes are needed at the club now, beyond just changing a whole rafter of players in the summer.

That was the game for me. I believe we are down. I looked at our remaining games on paper & there was more than enough at home pick up some wins. Bottom line is we aren’t playing good enough & haven’t all season to just turn it on & win 5 of 7 at home

I thought he did ok, won a few headers, linked up fine. Should have scored though and ultimately not at this level

Hopefully DM will work out quickly that Grant is useless and shouldn't be anywhere near our squad, let alone team.

We've had some <ovf censored> left backs over the years. He is up (down) there amongst the worst!

Hopefully Garrity will replace the <ovf censored> Wilson and the ineffective Loft as our striker for our final 15 games of the season.

On the plus side, we've looked more solid first half with 4 at the back. We need to lift our team on Saturday more than ever and try and inspire some sort of performance out of them.

It's sad that a club with an (apparently) awful owner has got better players than us. Do they have a campus?

But we knew this before mate it’s nothing new. I don’t agree reading are woeful they’ve got a good record at home especially recently. They will be comfortably clear end of the season & they’ve had 4 points deducted

I've resigned myself to more or less accepting relegation now # These players.are going through the motions Fraudcroft your new facilities will serve us well in league 2  Ger Out Fraudcroft and take the entire playing squad with you except Lomax , shorrock, Dipepa, Ripley and Garrity  because these fight for the badge

This squad would struggle in the national league. Was hoping the last time the club would see League 2.
