Fleetwood (A) match thread 3rd Feb

A defence that's been leaking goals like sieve all season. A threadbare and unbalanced squad and no fire-power up front.  What a superb recipe for success!

My suspicion is that it was the other way around. Our penniless owners told DF to appoint Crosby, which was then rubber stamped by the Board.

There's only one problem: buy cheap, buy twice - except in our case we're now so penniless that we can't manage a second purchase.

League 2 here we come.

we can’t stay up with this type of performance and our penniless owners will lose more money in division two sack Crosby and Flitcroft now

I'm hoping we have signed a good and big central defender. Might be a good idea to play him!

You're right. Football is a hard, ruthless and results based game and when things start going seriously wrong, people will question and criticise even the best of owners. To be honest, I'd like to think that Carol will act decisively to save the legacy she's been built up but, if she doesn't, I'll start to re-evaluate my judgement of her.  The prospect of sinking back into League 2 is going to challenge even the most die hard fans and Carol won't be immune from the backlash. It's up to her now.

Who would be a football club owner?

mad robbie?😁

Vale are now 7/1 from 9/1 to be relegated. Good value bet there.
£175 profit if you don’t go next week and have a punt instead. Unless they start winning of course.

That's not all bad then, I don't think I could stand a second Loft

Why is there not a club statement already?

I think a 3-0 defeat to bottom of the league is a statement in of itself

I am OK with Flickers. I don't think we've had a bad window. I do think he has signed up a good enough squad. I do think he has done well with the youth team structures. But Crosby has not worked out. Must replace.

You are joking Warren " OK with D F, had a decent window " W O W

Honestly believed no one would try and defend DF  AC  the Players or even Carol tonight

If only the fans forum was scheduled for this week, im sure the campus idea would of gone down like a lead balloon and would be pretty hostile

We would still get the opening question ...

"" Carol O.B.E.  Would you still buy a football club, knowing what you know now "

Wont bother to repeat the answer.

Anyone would think it was staged.?

Don’t worry, there are plenty of people on here who will always be happy, even with Conference North Football, as long as Carol is running the club. That seems to be what matters to some people, not the success of the club. It is a weird personality cult.

Some of them seem to enjoy mediocrity and like you say gid forbid anyone slags off the manager ,DOF or owner well I'm afraid they're deluded and  living in cloud cuckoo land as far as I'm concerned cos I've been attending the vale 35 years now and I'm not  going  to just sit there and watch garbage week in week out ,I'll voice my opinions when I choose and the happy clappers can get stuffed .

100 percent.

I can only assume that Crosby wants to be sacked, playing Lowe in central midfield. Sang did a job in that position against Charlton. Lowe has been dreadful every time he's played CM for us. That's on Crosby.

What has Shorrock done wrong since being part of the 3-0 winning team against Blackpool to not have had a start since? Why does Connor Grant get a kick, when he's clearly finished as a league footballer after his injury? That's also on Crosby.

Crosby is the main problem. We'd be comfortably mid-table with a proper manager. To be anywhere near the relegation zone after having Arblaster at our disposal for half a season is criminal.
