Arblaster's turn for the second goal was naughty. Unbelievable poise and skill and then to look up and see the pass...what a player he will be. If he's not an international in 10 years time I'll be amazed.

If we attracted them this season why can't we attract better next? 

For Chis, he blows too hot and cold for now. I think BG will be more in demand in January but if Chis can keep this form up he could go in the summer

However, I don't think he ever lost control. How many refs this season would have kept stopping it when blokes fell over when they felt a slight nudge in the back. He was having none of that. For me, 8 or 9 cards doesn't show a lack of control and I don't think we would have had the full blooded game we got with some of this season's refs. My opinion, yours is different but I prefer the game to keep going rather than being as stop/start as some.

He's booked 4 from each side. There were problems arising from Wigan poor fouls and our players engaging in pushing et al. 

I thought this ref had a good game and was alert to Wigan players diving for pens. The assistant refs were good as well.

I'd say in the next 5 years most, can see him getting his full England debut in the next 3 seasons. Lads unreal at times

A few marks Ripley 6 nowt do had no chance with goals really ,passing good .

Debrah 7 gets involved great link up play 0with reborn Massey getting a good understanding going there 

 

Lowe 7 he is smooth very poised.

Balmer 7 OK he made a error but generally moved the ball quickly 

We won the game so error didn't matter .

Massey 8 who is this player terrific keep it going another assist really positive all round super performance 

Grant 7.4 best game for the Vale he showed his quality .

Arblaster 9.2 movement skill absolutely fantastic positivity impersonated 

Devine 9 ,1 superb you keep charging at all teams fellow really good watch maybe should have scored when hit post before winner .

Chislett 8.8 hat trick man love the song loved the performance same again tues .

Garrity 8 the glue what makes the Vale tick

Loft I'm warming to this lad he puts himself about and generally his attitude was magnificent 3 tackles in the  95 minute ,its the small things folk will warm to that .

So all in all a tremendous effort from the Vale .

well that was a cracker of a game even for a neutral it had everything. think AC has earned himself a temporary reprieve after that. the first half was as good as ive seen vale play since 1987 and weve had some big nights at VP. completely dominated them. im a few more percent hopeful on tuesday that we wont get a mauling now. Over the last couple of games the biggest surprise has been the form of Massey and the cameos from Loft. A lot to like about the Wigan performance and it should have been more comfortable.  What the future holds for Arblaster and Devine is hard to discern.  My guess is both will stay because they are playing regular football in a style which Premier League teams play. Unless they were guaranteed starts in The Championship (they won't be), they are both progressing and getting the game time they need where they are. Can't imagine either are for sale, so the only reason to recall either is if they are unhappy with how they are developing,  or if they think they will develop quicker elsewhere. 

Sneak a result Tuesday and I can't imagine either player would want a move. A Semi-Final in a major cup would be a massive motivation for players of their age. A once in a lifetime opportunity for both and the club.
