Middlesborough H EFL QF Tickets/Crowd

In the good days without all of these staggered releases it would be season ticket holders first choice but our seats were not reserved. We couldn't get our seats v Stoke, but tough. that's life. The amount of rules surrounding ticket sales and parts of stands netted off is a pretty sad state of affairs.
Just keep it simple.
Times have changed. Most clubs use staggered sales as part of their loyalty systems. Stadium safety rules control seating capacity.

It'll all work out. If you know your seat is reserved until 5th Dec and you get paid last day of the month, why get your ticket before if money is tight. The club are happy with sales so far, they expect there to be spikes in sales, pay day, closer to the 5th. If that transpires then we'll potentially be edging closer to 10k home fans with 2 or 3 weeks to spare. Bit of an unknown at the moment, is how many ST holders have bought tickets elsewhere.

If you look at it simply, you could easily conclude hardly any ST holders have bought there's yet. 11k home tickets in total. Sold 6k, only a few hundred currently showing as available, so if there's 5k left to be sold it would make you think hardly any of our 5k ST holders have purchased yet, which surely isn't the case.

I hope you're right. I'm sure all the people who wanted cheaper tickets for youngsters will follow through and buy loads.

It will be Ok in the end.

In my view it was another misstep in the ticketing for this game to reserve ST holder seats and would be very surprised if the club did it again.

The problem is a ST holder wants to attend with friends or family they cannot sit together so end top moving to another row/block or a different stand.  In which case you might as well hang fire buying your tickets.

10,500 is the allocation for home fans and we shouldn't be far from a sellout.

I have seen 22k v Stoke a few times, and Watford when the Bycars was standing but I think it was extended along with the Hamil to keep the same capacity when it eventually became all seating. I am sure Billy Bell said that the Lorne Street (When completed in 2035) would hold 5,000 people the same as when it was standing to keep the capacity at 22,500 (after a reduction following Hillsborough).

I think when we played Spurs, Watford, and Stoke the capacity was 24,000. The last time I saw more than 15k was when we played Arsenal Bill Bell announced 14k.

Wolves in the FA Cup 1994.

The official attendance given was 22,999.

It's been a bit if a wasted week for me coming on here .

Ive been excitedly coming on thinking surely they sold out the home ends ,folk shouldn't need any motivation attend this game do folk not want Vale to do what they did in 1954 (match it at least by reaching semi finals )

The tickets being on sale since the 14th of November  now on general sale to anyone .

I'm.a season ticket holder I could have waited till whenever it is but I thought better get them early so that I know I'm defo going be attending this absolutely humongous game.

So to read that they only sold 5958 tickets is bewildering and quite poor if let the truth be known so that's less than 2000 we took away to Man City as I think we took 8000 with a much poorer team .

Oh well ill see the loyal there .

In the old old days weren’t there vouchers A, B, C….. at the back of the season ticket booklet for cup games?  Can’t remember there terms of use though ie were they for guaranteed entry or an early priority purchase scheme.

It is a much longer sale period than normal, 6 weeks or more. Big cup ties are usually after Xmas, Seats are reserved until December 5 so people can buy with December pay. A couple of wins will soon speed the sales up in December.  11,000 home seats, so until then no pressure to buy.

Early priority purchase, which in many cases, dependant upon the number of tickets available, would’ve by default guaranteed the season ticket holder entry and often the option to purchase more than one ticket. At the end of the season there were always plenty of vouchers left over in the booklet for  some reason…..

We've only had 22000 once v Stoke since the fifties
