Or the 42179 (actual paid)  v Liverpool in 1964 replay, when scousers gatecrashed the paddock and thousands got in free.I ended up sitting on Hamil end of ,pitch adjacent to the goal.Frightening night.

I was there and also at the Villa game.

I feel there was more against Liverpool than the Villa game.

The Villa game was all ticket wasn't it? Whereas the Liverpool was a cup replay just a few days after the 0-0 draw at Anfield which makes me think the replay was 'pay on the gate'?

I am sure lovers of biscuit tins will know where I am going with this ... !

My dad was at that game .

He said there were folk watching on the floodlights .

Here we are in 2023 and our poxy home allocation is half sold deary me whatever happened to folk who got excited for big cup ties .

I'm with Packmoor Valiant big ask sell out now unless they sell them to Middlesborough supporters which in reality they should as if folk want see the game they should see it in my opinion .

We have to make maximum.money out of attendance in case we go no further .

Bring back 1964 crowds .

Early priority purchase, which in many cases, dependant upon the number of tickets available, would’ve by default guaranteed the season ticket holder entry and often the option to purchase more than one ticket. At the end of the season there were always plenty of vouchers left over in the booklet for  some reason…..

Yes, that’s probably why I don’t remember their terms of use - because I never had the need to use one! 😉

A couple of scousers paid for my then 12 year old dad, to go in to the Vale end, as he was sat on a wall trying to watch the game. (His folks couldn’t afford for him to go)

No no - please stick to the party line. From now on, the scousers pickpocketed your dad while handing him fake money for his ticket. He got rumbled at the turnstile and spent the next 5 years in and out of young offenders institutions. Scousers, eh?!

I hope you're right. I'm sure all the people who wanted cheaper tickets for youngsters will follow through and buy loads.

I think the whole subject of pricing for cup games needs looking at.

Clearly dropping prices does not encourage higher attendances,  or at least not enough.  Fleetwood 2700, burton 4000+.     Why are prices considerably less than fir the league games against the same opponents?

Look at the home support for burton in the replay.

Surely a QF against a good championship side should have been a premium match.

My feelings are that if folk want to go then they will and the club has missed a lot of income this season

The league trophy competition is somewhat different,  severely weakened sides are selected,  so reduced prices are justified.

It will be embarrassing if we don't sell out for Boro, particularly after backing down and reducing junior prices.

I'm sure I read that they charge 32 for their home games, so I wouldn't have thought they were pushing for low prices.

We're a small club if we can't sell out this.

We've never been a ' big club ' to be fair but i agree you'd think we'd pack the park out at home with a chance of making the semi finals

We thank those who have bought there tickets, and the extras who are coming along for the night who don't even support Vale but are spending there hard earned on them and are going hopefully shout us on .

We will see seems such a long way away to be waiting for season ticket holders buy there tickets or relinquish there seats .

Be interesting see what the crowds attendees is  like v Derby (Vale end they have sold out )on Tues night another big night under the lights .

I know folk work on noons etc but you think most bosses are generally sound like mine went in last night said I'll work Mon night but want Tues off ,no problem they say and rightly so I shouldn't see why anyone should miss games v Derby and Mddlesbrough because of selfish workplaces after all these places still be there when you long gone but Vale reaching another semi final in your lifetime (in a major cup )may never happen again .

To me the game should be easily sold out 3 times over .

It's that big of a game,i bet stokies werent saying that there game  when they played West ham in the F A cup a few years back and won 2-1:in a quarter final was not I bet they were loving the fact they had gone so far with favourable draws throughout.

UTV

So get that ground sold out .
