On paper that is a tremendous signing and shows how far the club have progressed in 18 months.

Does seem it. I guess we will see when he plays men’s football but him and Williams are ridiculous signings for us really, only issue for me is like the previous loans, they’ll go onto bigger and better things very quickly.

Maybe Walters & Brazier do not want to stop at Vale and they see their career path is better suited elsewhere.

Both players, like all players, will not be bothered one bit about showing loyalty to the Vale or any other club.

Mmm lifestyle in Barcelona or Boslem? and too young to drink in the Bulls !

Tough one. 😆

It doesn't bother me because they are loans at the end of the day. I just have an issue with season long loans which I think is a bit of a farce.

If we can compliment Gore and Weir with a loan striker and a couple of permanent signings at WB that would be a good window for me despite losing Blaster and Devine.

I wonder if the Williams move came about via Marc Bridge-Wilkinson working for the Liverpool academy? I mention that in the context of Gore as I think I read ages ago that there's an ex Vale bloke at Man Utd too? Could be talking wibble though.

possibly, there's always going to be people putting words in etc in the footballing world. Certainly helps when you know the right people. Can't help but think Ollie & alfie have opened the door for more promising talent to join us from big clubs now. Fair play to Flickers & all others involved 👏🏻

For me it’s great if we can get decent permanent signings alongside, granted not easy this window. Looking forward to seeing these two though. I think they will both be above this level. Be fantastic window if we complement these loans with a permanent LWB and striker imo

Not free but you said millions!

Would the work on the pitch, new training facilities, Lorne St (seating and corporate areas), pitch perimeter and stands not come to millions?

Weren’t Arblaster and Devine unproven when they came here ?  Then you say Williams and Gore unproven ,

Yes.  But you are replacing a proven player with an unproven one.

Just like with Balmer the other way. He proved he was <ovf censored> so his replace can either be better, as <ovf censored> or shitter.

Just off topic for a bit... has anyone else noticed the number of uninformed Man Utd "fans" who are suddenly upset that Dan Gore may be going to Port Vale. I did a Twitter search for "Port Vale" and the latest posts are just chocka of uninformed nonsense from fans who think their teenaged talent (with one minute of League action to his name) is far too good for the likes of Port Vale.

I presume that's because they haven't heard of us because we're not on Sky Sports every week and that they've got no clue that though Dan Gore may be "far better than Port Vale" we've now got a proven record of looking after young loan players and that we can give him plenty of first-team starts, something a kid with one minute of senior football may not get in the Championship or Premier League.

Thank goodness, I'm not a supporter of a "big" club, I don't think I could take that amount of rubbish, spouted by uninformed idiots.

And if you ever get fed up about a topic on OVF, it's well worth a brief trip onto Twitter - the amount of garbage on there may rapidly restore your faith in the quality of debate on here!

Rant over...
