Why is Jones back in anyway?

Because our super recruitment team have not brought anyone who can cover.

We need to get Wilson on if only to give the young lad up top a bit of help and to have someone who can hold onto the ball a bit. This is really poor stuff.

Are we playing honestly at home. Utter utter garbage and set up for one thing and one thing only. One striker on the pitch who will be finished at half time through running side to side. Negative isn’t in it.

We are getting dominated here. Only a matter of time before reading score

These are a good side, and I think some of the new lads look decent, but I just can’t help but think this system is holding us back.

Wouldn't expect anything else from a side managed by Crosby. He's a worse John Askey.

We're making them look a good side. Take away their last result in the Cup and weren't they losing game after game at the back end of last season? Pretty sure they have most of the team they had last season starting today.

They are playing 442. This keeps our wingbacks pushed back in defence. They can't get forward and create anything. Our players aren't good enough to play 352. Should keep it simple. Having said that we will probably go on and win the match now.

We’re basically playing 3-6-1 out of possession and still look like they can play through us.

Abysmal watching this on ifollow so far. Exactly as expected with the 11 / formation selected. Set up like we’re playing Barcelona away. Need something up top, that was never going to work. Jones off at half time.

If we’re going to stick to this formation at least get Clarke on.

Teams play 3 at the back when the manager has no faith in his defense to play two at the back, as they feel they need that extra body. The fact that we've seemingly not managed to improve the shocking back line from last season if early evidence is anything to go by is quite frankly staggering.

Still it's 0-0 and we have a reasonable bench so you never know. Actually we probably do know. Just trying to be hopeful

It’s soul destroying to watch. The forwards we have, whether good or bad are on the bench. We are sacrificing 60% of the pitch and then lumping it forward and chasing it. If this is what we’ve got for the season then heaven help us.

Still, while we're not losing the happy clappers will be content.
