Stoke, West Brom, Leeds, Newcastle, Norwich.

Yes, they've gone on to have much success, do I envy them, of course, would I like to see Vale emulate them, of course.

Now let's look at some others:

Darlington, Torquay, Chester, Chesterfield, Aldershot.

Yes, they've all sank alarmingly, do I envy them, of course not, would I like to see Vale emulate them, of course not.

We all support Port Vale for whatever reason, criticising everything gets us where exactly ?

Sack the players, sack the manager, sack the DOF, force Carol out of the club.

Bring in new people with the financial clout to get us to the Champions League, bring in a manager who knows how to WIN WIN WIN, bring in the players that never make mistakes.

It's easy isn't it, if only it were.

Keep the faith, Up the Vale, Love this club, see you Tuesday - we go again.

It's early yet Phil, plenty of time for better but thanks, I sometimes wonder why some of them bother, apart from being always right of course, I wonder if secretly, just once in a while they long to be wrong.

Same here mate. Never booed any Vale player/team. If they play badly just leave silently, which should give the same message without the vitriol. I also go to see the opposition and recognise when we have been outplayed, such as the Barnsley home match last season. We are not Manchester City and never will be.

Strange how criticising recruitment is equated with booing players. One doesn't mean the other. Obvious mistakes have to be accepted not excused.

Having said that there is a long way to go and things can change quickly. Let's bloody hope so.

We’ve just lost 7-0 on the opening day of the season supporters pay a lot of hard earned money to watch their team we at least expect 100% effort from the players yesterday was totally unacceptable and if they want to boo them then they have the right i personally didn’t boo as I left on the hour after the 5th goal

CV - if you want to boo then go ahead and boo.  I never have and never will boo a Vale team.  

Saturday was horrible.  Easily the worst thing i've seen in 45+ years of watching the Vale. BUT, we now need to concentrate on putting it right - and its that that i'm interested in and nothing else.

No doubt others will say i'm sticking my head in the sands as a happy clapper - fine, go ahead and say it.  BUT here's the thing: no matter how much we complain, there is zero we can change about it.  It happened and all I want is for AC to get the team to do their very best.  And he MUST be given the chance to do that.  Carol will decide how many games he gets to do that; in the period of time I will support Port Vale Football Club and sing my head off for them and wear my colours with pride.

I can't take people like that anymore; they do my head in.  He's on the ignore list.  Too many richardheads on here lately.
