FLARES/ PYROTECHNICS BEING LET OFF

Recommended Posts

Plymouth Argyle's Championship victory at Vale Park was overshadowed by at least three incidents of morons letting off flares/ pyrotechnics in the away section. Yes some of these so called fans may well believe that it is a bit of fun. Reality is other fans can suffer from breathing difficulties or possible serious injuries. So sure The Police should use CCTV to identify the guilty individuals. Main problem at Vale Park compared to many other stadiums is fans can choose where they sit. At many grounds even in visitors areas you pay for a seat and you are suppose 5o sit in it. So if an incident occurs you can identified from your seat.

Port Vale should not be held responsible for fans smuggling flares/pyrotechnics into the stadium. But guilty fans should pay the fans and receive long bans. As if at least three Plymouth Argyle fans are arrested and charged with regards to the letting off flares incidents they may well NOT be watching their team in "The Championship", next season.

That's a good thing in my opinion. How much more regimented and controlled can going to football become?

Most away games, virtually all, you’re told to “sit where you like”.

As documented above Plymouth fans on the forum not happy with those who took flares and someone did receive medical treatment due to the affect of the smoke. They were too complimentary of the stewards who took the sticks out of their flags and confiscated balloons. Ground rules cover the confiscation of sticks in flags.

Did confetti ever kill a football supporter in a ground?!
