Yet another example of wholly unsuitable foreign owners taking control of an English FL club and making a complete and utter mess of it.  

It is hardly a surprise given that their wealth comes from crypto  currency.  How can so called intelligent people be taken in by this nonsense?  

Hans Christian Anderson wrote the story of "The Emperor's new clothes" in 1837.  That story is entirely appropriate to describe the efficacy of the controls put in place by the FL to assess owner's suitability.

When is the govt going to enact the Tracey Crouch Review recommendations? They will go a long way to sorting out some of these things in the future.

To me, it looks like the Crouch recommendations were spot-on with the issue being

"a decision to fully endorse the idea of an independent regulator. The government has previously supported the idea in principle but there has been sustained lobbying from the Football Association and the Premier League, both of which want to keep governance effectively in house. "

Why would the PL and the FA want to keep this inhouse I wonder? Answers on the back of a postcard marked "Their own self-interest" please. In the meantime, while the PL and FA delay matters, things like Crawley are probably happening elsewhere in the lower leagues...

Whether these owners are 'foreign' or British has nothing to do with it. We only have to look at our own history to see that. Put simply, in my opinion, many owners below PL level buy clubs for 1 of 2 reasons:

1. An experimental play thing hoping to make money; or

2. A status symbol to feed their ego

The ones who buy for both reasons are the most dangerous.

Nearly all have no idea how to run a football club, nor what it means to the fans. Carol knew full well what the club means to us. She also knew that she didn't know enough about running a football club. So brought in DF. We have been so lucky in that regard.
