Mo Chaudry tonight thanked Vale fans for last night's game and insists that Vale's rising star Davis has a good future ahead of him at Vale. Chaudry, one of the six interested parties to buy Vale has maintained communication with fans on his Facebook page 'Mo Chaudry Speaker':

"Great to meet up with friends at Vale last night and a much a needed win. Thanks to Alan and Caroline for their hospitality. Jo Davis has a good future ahead of him and he deserved his man of the match award."

I thought Davis has the football talent but needs to get stronger - to be expected at the age.

People may be interested in Tranmere Rovers and the initiative to develop a Trust takeover from Peter Johnson. Johnson's wealth has declined about £100 million over the last few years and he is now down to about MC's level - so he is looking for out.

Let's not go wild over Davis, it was his first full game.

Craig James looked like a Premier League left back on his debut...

Don't think anyone is going wild over his performance though it was very calm and assured particularly as McCombe was struggling.

He struggled against Crawley but this performance should give him confidence to progress particularly as he is going to face one hell of a test at Torquay on Saturday where he could get a roasting, hopefully that performance will have helped him significantly.
