That's odd, the police escorting him, did the old bill ask you to move or anything.. Normally if he was being escorted that phone call of 'I'm being harassed' normally comes into play, and then the coppers come down on you

well yeah u would have to say im being harrassed really for the poilce come and the fact is that we were causing NO HARM to anyone there and when the poilce come that was a joke they did say they would speak to deakin and the come speak to us so i assume they would of asked us to move on.

I wonder what the PV official statement will be? Deakin helping police with thier enquires or police escort required for Deakin through angry mob [For sympathy vote]. Not that it matters, only the first would be believed, true or not.

If you were getting harrassed at work whilst reading online people on about getting tommy guns or give them a good hiding etc would you request a police escort. I don't think harrassing them is going to do anything at all. Bad move imo.

Normally agree with most of what you say but I don't on this. As others have put it, the "Stoke way" is the only way to accelerate this - all of them need to be hounded out by any means possible and as soon as possible. Would you put up with it for long if you had a reception comittee waiting outside for you every night when you finished work?

I am not local unfortunately but I do have to go Manchester in a couple of weeks and might swing by on my way back. If the pressure can be maintained I am sure they can't hack it formuch longer.

I would welcome the opportuinity to save myself the trip though and discuss any issues on the phone - can anyone direct me to where I might be able to find numbers?

But if he would just come out and face up to a few questions then this situation would not exist.I seem to remember him saying that his office was always open if anyone wanted to come in and talk.So people have gone in to talk but he hide's away ignoring them.

When the cops came his car was moved off the car park, about 4 car loads of us chased after it down the hamil, it turned out to be his pa, a decoy.Back up to vpthen the cops escorted him into the back of the van.Vale from pvo said he heard he was being taken to the station, which we took to mean longport station, couple of carloads chased down there but could'nt see him, may be it could of been the police station. Returned to vp but nothing happening.

This is not the first time Vale supporters have gone to the club seeking answers. Bill Lodey has spoken to the fans directly. Glenn Oliver has spoken to the fans directly. On Monday, Mike Lloyd spoke to three of the fans directly. None of them were attacked physically or threatened with violence. Today Mr Deakin seems to have refused even to speak to a small number of the supporters and simply locked himself in his office before seeking police assistance.

Now I'm sorry but I can't see that treating your customers, who have legitimate grievances, in this way is at all acceptable. And as a tax payer, I cannot see that wasting police time like this when no offence had been committed as far as I can see, is acceptable either. This is the second time Mr Deakin has wasted the time of the boys in blue - did he not call them in to investigate the theft of a letter which hadn't been stolen??

Mr Deakin has told us on numerous occasions that he is wonderful at his job. He told us at BGWMC how much he had improved the commercial income at the club. He told the Sentinel of the one million percent improvement in commercial activity. If he is so damn good then surely he could walk into any job in football/sport? So why doesn't he just opt for the quiet life and go elsewhere? What exactly is keeping him at Vale where he thinks he needs a police escort to get out of the building?

Just go Perry. You know it makes sense.

Fair point. I am not against forcing them to talk but turning up every day at someones place of work is criminal harrassment. Now if it was match day and people wanted to storm the boardroom I think organised mayhem could be the way forward. We don't need any fans being arrested, banned or Deakin and co. made to look like the victims in this.
