Joey Barton

He would seem to be a repeat offender. If guilty this is an offence committed whilst on duty as manager of a club. Such actions mean he would always be a risk to others. A life ban would not be about punishing him but about protecting innocent people from the risk of violence. He is now a mature man with a privileged background he should not be protected because he had a tough childhood. He is the architect of his own downfall. I again ask would any parent want him near their kids at a club?

I agree entirely.

A man who was arrested after an alleged altercation between Fleetwood boss Joey Barton and Barnsley boss Daniel Stendel at Oakwell has been bailed until May.

The man attended a police station on Wednesday where he was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and racially aggravated assault.

I wonder who that could be? Why hasn't he been suspended by Fleetwood?

Yes, I've just seen that.

Very odd but no doubt the truth will out in the police investigation. There must have been several witnesses.

If the allegation is untrue then I can only conclude one of the following scenarios applies:

1. Barnsley have engaged in a criminal conspiracy to invent this whole story, and manufactured an injury to their manager that resulted in him losing two teeth. The risk to Barnsley of manufacturing this story is for someone, or more than one person, to run the risk of imprisonment for engagement in a criminal conspiracy. It would be difficult to understand what Barnsley would have to gain from such a plot. So why would they do it?

2. Mistaken identity, someone else did it. If that is the case then one would anticipate that Fleetwood would fully cooperate and help the Police to identify the real culprit. One would imagine the real culprit would have either been wearing a mask resembling the person who has been arrested and/or cultivated a strong Liverpool accent in order to mislead people. Well, anything is possible!

3. The tooth fairy mysteriously took the two missing teeth away when no one was looking.

4. The person who has been arrested and bailed is actually guilty of the alleged assault.

Readers are free to form their own conclusions.
