Mansfield away tickets november 17th 2018

Recommended Posts

Just to let people know that these are advertised for sale now on the official website.

A word of warning to save people a lot of faffing about with refunds etc.

This is a weekend of the famous International break.

Both times this season Mansfield have had their games called off firstly against Crewe and latterly against Grimsby.

The Grimsby game was called off at very short notice as per the link.

Might be a case of wait and see before making unecessary journey to our ticket office.

As you can read one of their players has already been selected in advance for November 18th.

Let us hope it is the Saturday and not all the teams have fixtures for call ups.

I'm told that one of the players who was called up for those previous two postponements was an Irish U21 lad. Ireland don't have a competitive game that weekend so unless they have a friendly arranged, the game is likely to be played.

I hope both clubs can confirm the situation with this match at the soonest because it's something like three different trains I need to book.

I don't get this. Are the players called up for them, even starters??

We see it sometimes here in Denmark, that if a club has youth players from the senior squad called up, their games get postponed, even though they hardly feature at all...

Krystian Pierce (ex Vale) is a key player (might even be captain actually) and Sweeney is a regular. The other lad seems to be in and out the first XI.

Why is it that if you have got 3 first team players out injured you can't call the game off but if you have three first team/squad players called up for international duty you can call the game off

Only applies to L1 and L2, players called up are likely to be key players and seriously weaken the team? Unlike in RU who don't have international breaks and can lose half a team.

Because otherwise players who represent their country would be punished as clubs wouldn't want to sign an international as he'd be unavailable for some games. Serving your country and all that. Like saying why give compensation to people who do jury duty etc

sorry but teams have squads there are 7 players on the bench every match others can not even make the bench if the player was on duty for there country a squad member could replace them as if they where injured
