This may well give Aspo selection problems for Saturday. Lincoln will be a different prospect but it's a nice dilemma to have.

 

If Popes still carrying an injury maybe give him a rest on Saturday.

Hornby, Vassell, Kanu, Dodds, and Miller all put themselves in contention this evening.

 

They had a decent outfit (Sordell, Cole, Akins, McFadzean) but we looked pretty tidy second half. Kanu is good runner and is strong and quick. Miller was absolute quality for his cameo, caused nightmares for their backline. Vassell should probably start, slotted in at LB and looked physical and assured.

 

Does Miller miss Lincoln because of his yellow tonight (his 5th)?

 

If so, I'd like to see Dodds and Pope up top on Saturday, with Whitfield and Kanu on the wings and Hannant and Conlon in the middle.

 

Miller looked really sharp with Dodds behind him. Maybe him and Pope just aren't suited. I'd love to think we could give Popey the chance to rest and recover by giving Miller and Dodds a go.

 

Nice to have some fresh faces pose Aspin a few questions.

Great that miller scored, hopefully he can push on now, silly booking really, won the ball clean, but slid in with two feet only one outcome. Thought Hornby and vassell both had great games, as did Pugh. Be interesting to see if any one played themselves into the starting eleven on Saturday. Enjoyable night overall, hopefully NA got what he wanted out of tonight, a selection headache for Saturday.

Lets just hope from tonights game that Worrall never gets to wear the shirt again, aweful winger/player, offers nothing at all. Whitfield on the left, kanu on the right, will pope be bought back in and if so partnering miller or doddsy, back four who knows with how vassell played???.

Lots of questions to be asked but thats a good thing right!!!

Of all the teams he's unlikely to be rested against it's the bruisers of Lincoln, which is a pity as he's obviously desperate for some injury recovery time.
