Remember this is a Brexit thread. Find it amazing how Bluffer Johnson is going along,  He has no intention in negotiating a deal, only in crashingout and blaming the EU, and the opposition parties, when the Tories supposed to be driving a deal.

Im thinking along the same lines, there is no deal to get and the more people shout about taking no deal of the table the better he likes it. I think he is waiting for the train to hit the buffers to blame everyone else for the crash, splitting the Labour votes and strolling right down the middle.

You may be right we will find out soon enough, I tend to think the eu must take a good part of the blame, one of its member states has decided to leave so they've made it as difficult as possible, yet we both buy and sell with each other.  The irish backstop is the problem, they know that the good Friday agreement is interwoven in it, and how important it is for peace in ireland    Also the decision to remove the no deal option by parliament effectively tied our negotiators hands and so gave us no bargaining stand, so the eu have cut off their nose to spite their face,

How is it the EU's fault when they have actually agreed a deal already?

Who knows, there may be an interesting twist..... the EU could agree with Boris brexit plan and throw the ball right back into parliaments court.... I won't hold my breath of course

Doesn’t matter anyway as Labour, the SNP and Liberals will never agree to any deal now.

Cannot compare this incident with Saville. No, it shouldn’t be investigated, it was 10 years ago and will never be proven either way. What a complete waste of money and time if it is.

I think the process is screwed up..... however difficult to prove or investigate the accusation should be taken seriously and investigated but the accused should not be publicly identified until charges are brought.

A terrible deal for the U.K. drawn up by a  remainer and voted out by the majority of politicians for which the EU knew would happen.

How on earth do you know that the EU knew it would be voted down when May didn't?  What in particular did you find objectionable in May's deal?

I don't think the EU gave a rats ass Jean.... it was a good starting point for them and it didn't matter if it wasn't agreed..... win win situation.
