Brexit again...

SOTT,I actually think if there was another referendum NI would vote to leave. The arrogance of those sprouts in Brussels is astonishing. She may not have all the answers but Theresa May is standing her ground against these to55ers.
I would suggest the complete inverse of what you say is the reality. The arrogance of our government and Brexit supporters amazes me, it's not up to the EU to propose any alternatives to the Chequers proposal, they made their position crystal clear from day one, they will not compromise the principles of the single market or the union. They see the UK proposal as doing just that so won't accept it, why should they? We voted to leave, we have to ask for a deal if we want one they don't have to give us one. Contrary to the hollow claims of Brexiteers the EU hold all the ace cards, they'd like to trade easily with us but if we won't comply with maintaining the integrity of the single market they'll just let us leave without a deal and take the consequences of that which probably means a physical border in Ireland, WTO trade terms and a return to travel and work permits as per international rules for other non-EU countries.

It's a fallacy to think the EU will fail without the UK it's us who will suffer the most and no amount of arrogant, patriotic, superiority complex fantasizing will change that.

A small wager Fosse, payable to OVF.She gets a deal that suits everyone. We can put it robf’s coffee fund.
I'd love her to get a decent deal, I really would, but whatever I or anyone else consider decent couldn't possibly suit everyone. There are quite a few people out there who think anything other than literally sticking two fingers up to the rest of Europe is a bad deal.

No. We're not part of the Eurozone. How many times does that have to be pointed out? It's another misnomer of the Leave supporters that we have 'bailed out' countries such as Greece, Ireland and Portugal.

Would those bail outs not come out of the pot that we have paid into SOTT?I thought we forked out a few billion for Ireland and Portugal, then stopped and left it to the eurozone.
