Brexit again...

I can't get past the two massive blatant lies used by the leave campaign in the first referendum hence why I consider a 2nd referendum is the way forward, it is entirely the moral, logical and right thing to do for many reasons. If this result is allowed to stand it sets a terrible and dangerous precedent for UK politics.

I accept politicians don't always tell the truth but the result of a General Election can be overturned relatively quickly, Brexit won't be and will likely cause much hardship and could even lead to the break up of the UK. Teresa May's position is fast becoming untenable.

How conceited is that? Eire will be fine, the Irish survived 800 years of oppression from Britain so I'm sure they'll survive any impact Brexit has.

It wasn’t meant to be.I must have missed it where the EU had given Eire their permission to do their own trade deal with the UK.

I don't understand what you mean by Eire doing it's own trade deal with the UK?

What I do know is 13.8% of the Republic's exports go to the UK and 37% of NI exports go to the Republic which makes NI heavily dependent on trade with the Republic, maybe a reason why they really don't want any hard border or even to leave the EU?

5% of UK exports go to the Republic which includes those from NI so obviously the Republic would prefer to continue frictionless trade. So should we but that trade will be subject to whatever terms we leave the EU on.

The figures you quote are partly correct but they don’t include exports from other EU countries business based in Eire.If we Brexit without a deal. Eire,an EU country ,will need permission to deal with us in future whereas NI along with us will be able to trade with who we like.Eire’s main exports are agri.Welsh lamb is quite nice as is New Zealand.

I assume Mogg knows what he is doing moving his businesses there.

SOTT,I actually think if there was another referendum NI would vote to leave. The arrogance of those sprouts in Brussels is astonishing. She may not have all the answers but Theresa May is standing her ground against these to55ers.
What ground is that? It seems to have crumbled. The EU are not going anywhere, May agreed a Backstop and failed to come up with the goods.
