The company I work for have been up for sale. We’ve businesses in quite a few countries.

A partial sale was announced yesterday. The bits of the business the buyer excluded from the deal were China, Turkey and Britain.

Interesting. Maybe they're anticipating a hard right no deal Brexit which will make us a low cost economy like Turkey & China?

For those of you in the Brexiteer pensioner brigade, have you considered this; if our economy takes the kind of hits being forecast we could well suffer from serious currency devaluation and surging inflation. As you are pensioners on a fixed income your standard of living would be devastated. You can joke about Jeremy & Dianne but I can assure you they'd be more likely than the Tories to readjust the state pension to offset such a scenario.

Brexit will affect everyone, mostly in a bad way, and pensioners could be one of the hardest hit groups even though they were statistically likely to be leave voters.

Inflation is over 2% higher now than it was in June 2016. On 23rd June 2016 the exchange was £1.3039 to the pound. It's currently £1.12. That may benefit our exporters but it does nowt for the folk of this country who are paying for imported food and the like.

Yet we have a lower inflation rate than 5 years ago when the pound was higher against the Euro by a significant amount and with an inflation rate of just over 2% we have one of the worlds lower inflation rates.

Yep, most pensioners probably have on average about 20 years of life left and yet they've condemned themselves to a worse standard of living for most of if not the rest of their lives.....words fail me that people don't wish to try and overturn this impending debacle.
