Clubs that change their badge but in the case I'll make an exception. Truly wonderful.

...I can just imagine the result should Vale go along the same lines... A Vale fan facing forward whilst giving a two fingered salute. Meaning V for Vale of course. Known all round the world, that 'salute.'

When I said that was my last offerings I was being economical with the truth ! Teams who come up with “modern” nicknames. I spent my 60’s childhood learning that Palace were The Glaziers and then suddenly they’re The Eagles. Leeds were The Peacocks and then they’re whatever the hell they are now. Waste of time that was. Selling programmes for the original fixture at the later re-arranged game following a postponement. Not being able to get in your OWN social club because it’s been allocated to AWAY fans. Every time you went an away match in West Yorkshire in the late 70’s you had to listen to that fake Yorkshire Ripper tape. Players incincerly clapping fans. And foreign managers who when interviewed say the phrase “in this moment”. God, that annoys me.

“In this moment” grrrrrrr

Managers who tell their players to pull every stroke in the book then pretend it's all in the game. The most cynical one is getting their players to feign injury and then using the time they're being treated to coach the team. We always play 'em and they always seem to get away with it. Just hope they get a good dose of Karma.

team photo’s after a cup or league win spoiled by players childishly jumping up and down like they’re standing on hot coals. Thanks for that Grobelaar. Then throw in the players kids in kits 20 sizes too big for them and who are usually so bemused all they want is to have a good kip. Mind you, so do I after watching the Cup final.

Managers who add "football club" to the end of any reference to their club in interviews. Ian Holloway does it all the time.

"I don't like the way that things are going at Bristol Rovers Football club. Bristol Rovers football club deserve better than this and I will make sure that all the staff and players at Bristol Rovers football club work together" (for example)

And players who repeat the same word in interviews "obviously" is a classic as is starting an answer with "Yes, No" every time!
