3 points is always welcome but that wasn't a classic performance. Too many players that simply aren't good enough - Harness just ran into their defenders and Pugh must be getting a game because we have no one better. At least we looked solid and confident defensively. Aspo has a job on his hands over the next few seasons to mould this squad.

FT 1-0. Well done Aspo and the lads, much needed three points putting just a bit of daylight between us and the trailing pack. This will do wonders for our confidence.

 

To all those who've posted negatively on this thread - this is how you win a relegation scrap, by grinding out results against your closest rivals. Not pretty or enjoyable by all accounts, but this is one we would have been odds on to lose two months ago. For all that, the Sky reporter, at the game, said we thoroughly deserved to win.

Not after Artell accused Vale fans of being uneducated, how Crewe were better than Vale. Up until that comment had always wanted Artell to do well.
