Personally I could’nt see Adams taking the dof job simply because of his business that he is building up, he’s unlikely to knock that on the head for the insecurity of the job at vale.

 

I just presume Adams is currently being paid as a consultant in the process. Whether is becomes more, I don't know.

What's happened to all the talk of Norman just going for the cheap option and deliberately running the club in to the ground? Where's all the demands for an established league manager with experience of getting out of this league? You guys!

 

I hear what you’re saying, but we need to start being realistic about the situation. No previously successful manager is going to want to come to the Vale in our current situation. And if they did, I’m pretty sure wages would be an issue. We have to look at other options.

 

I’m not saying Aspin is definitely the answer to all our problems, but I’d give him a shot. I bet not many of the other 60/70 applicants have managed as many games as he has. He has a good win record and would unite the fan base. Every managerial appointment is a gamble, I would be prepared to take a chance on this one

Contacts, a good name in the football world, bags of experience, somebody who can be relied upon for advise when needed.

 

Yes he offers nothing your right.....

 

He knows a good player when he sees one. He worked wonder at Stoke as well as Port Vale. He has experiance and kowledge vitak for someone stepping up to the league for the first time.

Perhaps micky has advised Smurf to take rudgie on as dof and Aspo as manager? Job done then. Micky can hold his head high that he's done best for Vale and also been paid for his own input. Also vast majority of Valiants surely will rejoice in Aspo/ Rudgie partnership? At very least they will get the interest and fervour back in fans who rightly have recently left the fold. In present circumstances my gut tells me this is the best we can hope for. Utv.

No disrespect to Adams but I would rather Rudgie anyhow. Aspin and Rudge would be amazing.
