Shearer has a good number. pretty much one night a week for 38 weeks, 400 K , wow .
Paid for who he was, insight into the game based on his experience. Still has to keep up to date, what a lot do as a hobby, but that's life. Would much less keep him at the BBC?

Alex Jones up to 450K for the One Show????? Matt Baker even more!!!!

Bonkers...if they paid them (and others) a lot less are they really going to s0d off elsewhere, be irreplaceable and have a dramatic adverse effect on the quality of the shows they were part of??

Does this cover the creative types who work off screen.....the writers, the directors etc.? Can't see any/many mentioned

Taxation elements taken at source from wages will be the fairest way of ensuring that everybody gets 'Value for money'. Many poorer people will not get any benefit from watching episodes of Jermey Kyle every day whilst people whom are prominent in Business will use TV to promote their business further...these are the people whom should pay more towards the licence...people who directly benefit

The equal system of chasing people without TV's is unjustified and relentless bullying that amounts to nothing more than a dictatorship and making people pay money they can ill afford. Many people do not watch live TV anymore the system is outdated and there needs to be radical change

A taxable tier system will suffice....make people pay for their own positions just like Security officers have to pay for their own Licences...difference being Security officers are on low pay

No wonder the licence fee is so high! Another example of lack of control over spending when it's not your money. No truly competetive business would be run like the BBC is!

You wouldn't mind so much if it was impartial but it's so biased against Brexit it's unbelievable.
