The Owners email

Iron Curtain

Recommended Posts

Yes back on topic... As I intended this to be before the "Leave Norman alone" group started getting on the front foot.

Why do we think Norman originally said he would send the accounts, but now has gone quiet and seems to no longer want to send them?

Can I just confirm that I have never asked Norman for the club's accounts and I have never received an email about them from him. I have no idea why he would send them to me anyway. The last email exchange I had with him was in early March following the Norwegian hedge fund palaver. That is all.

What a stupid post

Sent from my iPhone using the onevalefan mobile app

I would suggest the aggressive post before hand was the stupid one which I highlighted with an equally stupid response... fight fire with fire so to speak.

Anyway, back on topic like we have been asked.

Why would Norman say that he had sent the accounts to Jean when its been made clear that she never asked for them? Very strange no?

It's only him that is owed' date=' therefore it's his money. You will get there eventually.[/quote']

Norman has the right to structure certain commercial operations at the club and subcontract them out as he pleases.

Some of the money he lends back to Port Vale would probably be considered commercial revenue at a different football club.

I am happy to stay on topic but I would like to point out that my post was no way aggressive. I just asked him to not call me sunshine.

Why? why? would Smurf want to send the accounts to Jean?

She didn't receive such email.

He maybe got mixed up with some other emails. He probably sends many emails per week.

Smurf is not about to comment.

If someone is so interested why not twitter Smurf and ask him?

Ask if he wants them made public?

Ask will he send a second email to Jean?

Getting back on topic, I just wonder why the whole thing cannot be solved in a heartbeat by Norman sending the email to Jean again, or accepting Malcolm Hurst's invitation to publish the accounts.

If he sent them once, then surely it is worth sending them again - a few seconds work and all this bad feeling and bewilderment could be solved.

He may now think it's nobody's business Bea.50k and anyone can see the books.I believe that was/is the going rate.I don't think anyone will be knocked over in the rush,do you?

My fear would be that a normal club would earn money through a number of channels (shirt sales etc) and that money would belong to the club to be used to enhance the club.

What wouldn't be a good thing is an owner taking that revenue out of the club, and then loaning that money back into the club increasing the liabilities of said club.

Not illegal at all(I don't think)... but not great for Any club that is happening to. Those liabilities would be a weight around a its neck and could prevent it from progressing.

My guess is Norman said he would release the accounts to prove non of this was happening. Which would be great. Why the email wasn't received I have no idea.

In regards to the email being sent, there are a number of possibilities, one of them being that despite Norman attempting to send, his own firewall blocked them without his knowledge, which can happen very easily, so as far as he knows, he did send it. I have no doubt at all that Jean is telling the truth, but to state Smurf is a liar because she is telling the truth is pure conjecture.

As above, with there being various possibilities, & the fact that we can only speculate (as there is no way of us finding out 100% if Smurf did send it), it just depends on how cynical (or simply sceptical) you are as to whether you believe him.

I agree with this and do not believe the accounts for the 'Football Club' will show anything unusual. That said, I do believe that Norman was prior to this season, using revenue from Catering, Club Shop etc (which didn't through the main accounts) as the money he has invested into the club. This would certainly not be illegal but is completely immoral and does not portray a very professional image of the club....If this is true then he just needs admit it and at the same time admit that the fans are a little bit more intelligent than he thinks!!

P.s. If we are self sufficient this year then you can bet it is down to our money actually filtering into the club in the correct way..
