Under what grounds?

 

There are a number of fans who have concerns about the club and this forum is a place for us to discuss it. Just because you dont like it doesnt mean the thread should be closed. Bit communist that youth!!

 

 

What are you concerned about?? Honestly from the outside we look like a joke. My mate a Bradford fan comes onto this forum just for a laugh.. In the past 3 days he has seen a thread on Tyrone Barnett being slagged off by a number of fans, Tony Fradley being called a slob from a swamp and a certain section of you asking to see the clubs accounts for no other reason but to feed your negative vibe.

 

Its ingrained into a number of Vale fans but its also ingrained into the clubs forum for the world to see.

Plus we don't turnover 10m.He can ask for what he wants.My thoughts are he doesn't want to sell.Setting the bar that high would indicate that.

 

He would need two of the rules for the exemption... So I think I agree he is using the revenue and the assets rule.

 

Thats my concern exactly.

 

Norman doesnt want to sell, he will milk the club until he gets his cash back. Some people are happy with that. Some people are not.

The 2016 accounts would indicate that we have assets of around £1.6m... so he must be using the Assets less than £5.1m rule.

 

I still cant understand where he gets his valuation of the club from.

That under the ownership of Norman Smurthwaite the potential for Port Vale to to climb back up the leagues is almost zero. A smaller fear, but a very real one, is that we haven't hit the bottom yet.

And the bile usually comes from people slagging off our new signings..

 

Its actually funny that this subject on the clubs financial position has even been brought up. Had we won at Fleetwood on the last day, non of you would care.

Sorry but I was called out for saying the club wasn't operating normally. So its not up to me to defend myself.

The club IS operating normally. If you can show me where it isn't then I'll possibly change my mind.

I didn't find it an interesting read at all. In fact its just more of the same. Poking the chairman until he bites.

He has made bad choices with managers and last years team, agreed. He has said some very silly things, agreed! But why is this resulting in "certain" fans asking to see the clubs accounts. Its purely just an exercise to try and catch him out. Let's face it, if he did publish them then something would be found to have a go at him for.

 

Why cant we just enjoy pre-season? Apart from not being in the ideal league we seem to be functioning well as a club. Nothing out of the normal.

Hmm, why can't we indeed?

 

Why can't we sit around salivating at the thought of trips to Crawley and Lincoln? Why can't we giddily applaud all our decent, promising players (except one) leaving and being replaced by ageing journey men. Why can't we get all stirred up by, fingers crossed, mid-table stability? WHY?!?!

 

Who are the promising players that have left?
