Go on twitter and you'll see many agreeing with me too. The fact is though that the letter of the law clearly states that serious foul play is when a player endangers the safety of his opponent. That clearly endangered the safety of the keeper.

 

No-one in their right mind can argue otherwise.

 

Then by that surely Ederson should also have been given a red card? Can't have it any other way when a genuine 50/50 happens. How can a big unit who's rushing out like a madman and throws his head forward not be considered as also endangering Mane?

Well ultimately little was learnt from that. Liverpool are still pants at the back due to very average centre-backs, and still have a front three that scares any side shitless when they are all on the pitch. Dissapointed that once down to ten men they seemed happy to just be bent over and take it up the rear for the remainder of the game though.

Now you're just being silly. Ederson went to head the ball and got kicked in the head by a foot that was well above an expected height.

I can see why Liverpool fans were unhappy with it. There was no intent, his eyes were on the ball and he had every right to go for it.

 

However, it was a flying Kung fu kick the the face which appears like it has broken his jaw. I totally get why the ref has sent him off.

Yeah I would. I agree. But I'd be biased.

 

As a complete neutral (although I did want Liverpool to win) I can totally accept why he's shown the red.

 

Hand on heart if that was a Man City player getting sent off for that I'd be dissapointed. I didn't think it was a yellow card, nevermind a red, and as a spectacle it ruined what was shaping up to be a fascinating game between two outstanding sides going forward but don't have much of a clue about defending.

Liverpool the much better side early on against City but 1 down. Once Aguero was one on one with Mignolet there was only ever going to be one outcome.

 

City can't handle the best player in the Prem currently, Mane.

I've heard from a reliable source that Mane has a new personal trainer ,Carl Douglas and his dressing room nickname is 'Grasshopper '.
