There not enough hair gel for Rae Ingram and Colin Miles though so it's all about priorities - Smurf's not gonna fork out for an extra tub of Vo5.

If the manager thinks he can be good enough, then I don't presume to know better than someone who has spent his entire adult life in top grade football like some do.

I also think signing Tom Pope makes the club more attractive to other players.

It shows intent.

We have heard that we have a competitive budget.

There is an actual management structure.

Smurf has allegedly stepped away from day to day affairs.

A much more stable looking set up than only a few short weeks ago.

I agree with REP that we have some oldies.

I think they are all needed in league two.

Attract younger players with legs to play alongside them and we have a promotion winning outfit.

Great to re-sign Popey, I think he'll do Dan Turner's development the world of good and he'll bring a general improvement in attitude to the team. He's Vale and he'll want the same success as we all do. I don't expect the prolific goal scoring of the promotion season but I do expect some nous up front and problems for opposing defenders.
