Some posts seem to be suggesting an implied threat that if we don't all give the chairman unconditional support and be his 'chums' then the club will be closed down.

 

Well, that paragon of virtue 'biscuit-tin' Bell tried that one, we are still here.

 

As for this story of Norman being not well, I hope it is nothing serious, but perhaps that should be sorted out by a doctor and not on here in the context of the clubs' policy and future mmanagers and players.

Come on then mate you seem to know so much about running a football club these days why don't you put your money where your mouth is?

 

If I had a downer on every chairman/manager/player we signed then eventually I would be proven right.

Not once have I ever said I would want to run this football club or even have the money to do it.

I'm questioning the custodian of our football club.

That's right. The custodian.

Our club has been going for 141 years.

I've supported them for 30+years. My father for 50+ years. My grandfather for 70+ years until he died. And his dad before that.

Some of you need to look in the mirror and ask yourself..... Do you support Port Vale or Norman Smurthwaite.

I've never known an era where so many so callled Port Vale supporters actually blindly back the idiotic chairman over our great football club.

 

What you fail to grasp is that in the early days I was one of Norman's biggest supporters.

It's only the last 15 months or so I've questioned his actions. And rightly so.

If you want a debate over the state of the club in the last 12 months in particular, then let's go.

You won't though.

You will just slate me and others. I don't mind that. I'm thick skinned.

I've said plenty this last couple of weeks on where we are going wrong. Slating the owner. Deservedly so.

All the "opposition" come back with is "you couldn't do a better job" "you haven't the money"

 

You're correct. I couldn't. I haven't. But I ******* love my club and refuse to not air my concerns.

And make no mistake, there is someone who could do a better job and has the money. Sadly the idiot won't sell.
