In case anyone does not know Nigel left Derby because they have a complete nutter in control of the club (who even makes Smurf looks calm and collected ) who sent unmanned drones to watch his manager training the players. His previous problems at Leicester were purely because of standing up for his son against another loopy chairman.

Maybe you have a 'thing' for chairmen who won't allow their managers to manage - certainly you'd be in a very small minority who wouldn't welcome an experienced and no-nonsense manager like Pearson to Vale.

I can vouch for the fact that he is a man of good manner and politeness, who happens to not stand fools gladly, that's probabably why one of my favourite posters on here is so against him.

He isn't a bully, he once gave a snotty journalist a few sharp words after being severely provoked, but Micky Adams did that too, and journalists that are shrinking violets need to consider a career change.

Pearson would give this club the shaking up it needs, but in the right way, not the summer lunacy we just witnessed that has left the club itself and the fans as victims.

He didn't really jump ship, did he, you ****? We got £2million quid for him!!!

 

He's been with Wycombe since 2012, has shown he is capable of working with low budgets; has had to restructure the side a couple of times, with players moving on; lost in the play-off Final in 2015 and, I think, was L2 Manager of the Year, and Monday's 3-3 draw away at top-of-the-League Plymouth would suggest his 7th-placed team is a decent one. His reputation is being built, and built well, and not just because he is an ex-player!

 

Why has no one else gone in for him then? It doesn't take a genius does it- but you keep dreaming.

help me out here,experienced manager out of work must have failed somewhere,what guarantee is there whoever is chosen. most managers try and bring players they have worked with at previous club. why cant Michael Brown do it,must have plenty of contacts at all levels.Chairman needs someone he feels he can work with. let Brownie have a go, a couple of experienced players to play along side the young lads.even old sage said time is needed.lets look for just keeping our league one status and build on from there.Win the Huddersfield cup game could help our cause. Our chairman as said his aim is the championship.lets all get behind Mr. Smurf Brownie & the player, together we can achieve, divided we will fail.We need stability first and hopefully success will follow. Appointment wise it would be a proven league 1 manager. However it is extremely unlikely it will be this season.

Why would he leave a settled club and up root his family probably for less money and work with Smurf ?
