I think that Bruno and Smith are on their bike this week. The error was quantity not quality. Playing people out of position. Not playing two upfront and zonal marking. Who ever takes over will be lumbered with these players but hopefully the tactics will be better implemented and pride will be restored.

We are a joke at present, and it will get worse before it gets better, the club is in decline,period.There is an air of doom and gloom about the place, not a pleasant environment for the supporters or the staff, an expected battering at Huddersfield will just about crown the most dismal season I've watched since the worst of the Glover and Gannon era's, pure turgid pish.

My tail is firmly between my legs. I've backed Bruno and the lads since day 1. Enjoyed the changes and got excited by the talk of play offs and full grounds. But I can hold my hands up and say that Bruno has been a disaster. I won't say he and his staff aren't working hard but in the end, Bruno isn't good enough. The players he or whoever brought in aren't good enough. Maybe if played to their strengths the players could be good enough.

But overall I'm so disappointed and feel let down by the club right now.

Plan B if a real prospect, is it going to involve releasing 20 players in January? As well as the manager and backroom staff?

In a way I hope so but it's another risk. The attendances may not survive another risk.

Regards to Smurf, he said it was a risk, and said he would take the blame if it failed. Well it failed and although I mostly blame Bruno and whichever scouting team brought in the lads the blame does also land on Smurf.

In less than 6 years, Bruno has managed 8 clubs including the Vale. His overall win rate is just 36%. It begs the question as to why ever he was appointed to start with.

It's been a huge gamble that simply hasn't paid off - Smurf should present him with his P45 and put us all out of our misery before we end up back in League Two.

Something needs to happen and soon, we are going the wrong way in the table and an ever deteriorating goal difference which is similar to those in the bottom six.

 

Fans with Vale in their heart know he has to go but the mess that is going to be left behind is just a worrying with so many players not up to the job. A sorry situation
