I was told if not in the top 6 by Christmas we can get rid of the players if we want even the 1's on 2/3 year contracts.

After pages ridiculous retained list shenanigans, we asked for a small squad where the money was spent on quality players. I've got no idea if things will turn around or go into free fall, but I am confused as to what the plan is.

It doesn't work like that though. Apparently grant didn't want to play for us, but he couldn't just leave.

I am hoping that plan B involves our egotistical chairman realising the true worth of Port Vale FC and selling up at a sensible price and leave the club to someone with more football nous than him.

How much are these players earning compared to the UK players of a similar quality as such? If they are cheaper then maybe this is why we can afford to have a larger squad. Someone allowed the signings to happen so they must have believed they have potential and the skill to play in the league.

 

It seems strange how the manager has stopped talking to the media after games and how some players are just not to be seen. However I guess this happens at every club and its how it is managed that makes all of the difference. Would someone else coming in and managing these players get more out of them?

 

I suspect if we go more attacking then we could get opened up and battered. Maybe this is why we play such tight football. It is basically is a team now that is based on a 1-0 win. This was what the old Stokies used to moan about, however it did get them into the Prem.
