Odd rotation

Has anyone else noticed that at times there has been some odd rotations by Bruno. Examples I can think of are Amoros after been a stand out player against MK wasn't even in the squad yesterday. Sam Kelly changed the game Tuesday then wasn't on the bench Saturday. Shalaj looked good when he's played and has now disappeared. On the other hand Hart was woeful Tuesday but Kiko hasn't got a look on ahead of him. Confusing! I'd also like to add that the people who jeered Mac-Intosh going off on Saturday should be ashamed.

I agree completely on Amoros, Hart and the jeering of Mac-Intosh (despite him being appalling) but don't think Kelly 'changed the game', he was just much better than the player he replaced, then again so was I!

With playing such a large number of players, with some out of position due to injuries or experimental depending on your point of view, the strengths and weaknesses should be apparent to the club management. It appears that Norman is willing to cover the gaps with experienced players to keep us on course , irrespective that the development players are not yet performing, maybe he was half expecting this to happen. Hopefully his budget was planned accordingly.

By development players do you mean the relatively inexperienced new players or the first and second year homegrown pros?

Amoros tweeted a photo of himself and a mate in Monaco so I guess hes gone back for something?don't know wether hes picked up an injury or could be a family occassion hes had to go back for!!

Smurf made a comment about a few players being absent without reason on Twitter

Mainly the early 20s players brought in from overseas as an experiment by Norman, our existing young players such as Smith and Streete have performed well, although Kelly is not shining as yet.

To be fair, if I had the choice between Middleport or Monaco for the weekend then I'd be sorely tempted.

However, it's not good if there are several players buggering off and doing their own thing.

That would suggest a lack of discipline, which is never a good ingredient at any organisation.

I can well imagine how a seasoned and committed pro like Michael Brown views that kind of thing, especially when virtually none of the current squad have achieved anything yet.

I agree with what you said. Some of the players that we've brought in look to be at the same leel, possibly even behind some of the homegrown players in terms of developing them.

When you look at our squad you've got the homegrown lads like Turner, Pickering, Gibbons, Johnson, Haughton, Reeves, Boote, Lloyd & I'd put Kelly in that bracket too who we hope will be breaking through (like Smith did) within the next 2 years. Add in the new players like Mbamba, Ferguson, Amoros, Hart and arguably Pereira, Cicillia and theres a big chunk of our squad who need some time to develop in English league football.

(I realise some may say that Lloyd and Kelly have had enough time).

I don't think we should underestimate how hard it must be for some of these young lads to move to another country and adjust to playing a different style of football. It will have been a huge culture shock and maybe that's why they came in 2s and 3s, to help each other. I'd probably get homesick and if Amoros isn't in the match-day squad it makes good sense to let him go 'home' to Monaco for a few days

That's the issue.....if we LET him go, as opposed to him swanning off.
