what did purkiss's tweet say?

it must of been bad for him to be dropped? hope everything is resolved though, he has been a rather consistent right back since he's joined us and it would be a real shame if he left us.

Basically what everyone else said, that we were dog *****.

"That game tonight was awful. Sorry for everyone that travelled. Has to be put right Saturday."

Nothing too crazy, but some managers just prefer no comment on twitter whatsoever.

Just my guess at what may have gone on as he's been left out of the squad entirely!

If he's been dropped for that Bruno deserves sacking! I'm pretty sure that isn't the reason, it can't be.

MYSTERY SURROUNDING LEE PROBERT

UncategorizedMar 21, 2015

Why has experienced FIFA Referee Lee Probert not officiated a Premier League game this season?

Last season’s FA Cup final referee and member of the Select Group Officials is still to officiate a Premier League game this season.

Given the number of referees out of form and the experience of Lee Probert, it is a mystery that he is still awaiting that first appointment late into the season.

Clearly Lee’s season got off to a bad start with reports of a leg injury.

However, given the fact that he was back officiating in late December on the Football League he had clearly passed his fitness test.

This week he was out on the Europa Cup game, Sevilla FC v Villarreal, appointed additional assistant referee 2 – behind one of the goals supporting match referee Martin Atkinson who on Sunday will be officiating the top week end game Liverpool and Manchester United.

Below I list Probert’s referee appointments to date.

LEAGUE 2 20TH Dec 2014 Accrington v Wycombe

LEAGUE 2 26th Dec 2014 Oxford v Shrewsbury

FA Cup 3rd Jan 2015 Fulham v Wolves

Championship 10th Jan 2015 Charlton v Brighton

FA Cup 24th Jan 2015 Cardiff v Reading

Championship 30th Jan 2015 Bournemouth v Watford

FA Cup 3rd Feb 2015 Sheff Utd v Preston

Championship 14th Feb 2015 Blackpool v Nottm Forest

Championship 24th Feb 2015 Ipswich v Birmingham

League 1 7th March 2015 MK Dons v Preston

Championship 14th March 2015 Norwich v Derby

With close to a six figure salary, his average earnings per game this season breaks all previous records.

So, Howard Webb, in your new role it is going to be interesting to see when you appoint Lee Probert to a Premier League game.
