A long shot but if we really were looking at JFH then how about somebody like Paul Scholes? He will only live about an hour or so away, talks sense, will have Fergie on the end of the phone, could maybe get us a player or two on loan from Man Utd, won't need a job just for the money and from watching Oldham he will know about players at our level.

I think the difference is that we were offered JFH, i.e. he was looking for a job. Does Fergie , apparently on £3M a year as an ambassador take Phone calls. Nice idea though with Santa round the corner:)

One of the arguments used against Rob Page is that he's a rookie but now some Vale fans are touting a complete rookie in Paul Scholes, as far as football management is concerned, as the man to take over. Great player though.

some so called experienced managers drop monumental clangers from time to time but it's his general demeanour , his lack of tactical awareness, his ludicrous substitutions and his stupid excuses which really niggle me plus the fact that he doesn't appear to be learning from his mistakes.
