...wasn't he only on a short-term contract anyway, until the end of their season - which has just finished? I thought he was just 'charged' with keeping them up, which he did, though I could be completely wrong as usual !!

Was he on a longer one or did they offer him another contract?

I'm sad to see his career disintegrate. He was great for us. I had hoped he would have gone back to at least championship level after us, because let's face it without Adams the club would not be in league 1 and Smurf may not have bought the club if it wasn't for the admiration he had for Micky re:Coventry.

 

I would have him back in any role at the club except as manager. Personally feel he should have a stand named after him. As should Rudgie

That's the beauty of a forum... opinions can differ by 180 degrees.

No way would I want him back in any role, and I don't believe he was anywhere near enough a 'legend' to have a stand named after him.

1 who cares. And 2 not a chance. He did very well but his tactics are out dated and his time was up. Move on.

Did extremely well for us and deserves huge huge credit for where he took us from where he first picked us up from against the odds at times.

 

I miss him at the club but the time was right to move on and should be remembered for what he achieved with us, I am saddened that he has struggled since leaving the club with Tranmere for instance.
