Ah, you see, I started a thread about this and I haven't seen this negativity away from home. I have only attended 4 of the away league games and haven't been struck by any particularly negative tactics. There was an article in The Sentinel by a Vale fan (Eddie Jackson) stating the same thing. Page plays the same players, and the same 442/4411 formation as at home, doesn't he?

 

That dosent mean tactically its the same. The facts prove we are far more defensive away from home.

That's the kind of tactical change I think we'd all like to see Page make. I never get the 'keep a winning team' mentality (We haven't got a winning team anyway). Especially away from home we need to make changes to suit the situation. Hopefully this will be done for Barnsley.

Barnsley have been struggling recently and we seem to struggle in away games this season so far. I hope we can put it right by getting three points on Saturday.

I agree, shots for example speak for themselves. If you don't buy a ticket you can't win the raffle.

 

Generally I agree completely with Eddie but most certainly not on this. I don't actually think we've deserved to win any away games this season and that given the quality of the opposition we have faced is a worry.

That was 20+ years ago so little to do with anyone there now.

 

There is a cash turnstile. I'd imagine the all ticket issue is to do with the issues some of less desirable followers have with the law of the land (blunts away last season was disgusting).

really need to be going for it here. no 4-4-2 - it's clearly not working, in fact nothing has worked away from home. My team would be:

4-3-3, lets get our best three players on the pitch at the same time in the middle... why do we have to only have 2? Daniels been playing well of late and against the Shrews everything decent we did pretty much came through him.

 

Duffy and McGivern, for me are too similar - there's not enough dominance there. The only reason I dropped Duffy was because I think McGivern's been slightly better over the last few games. But either of them alongside Streete would be fine.

 

Lets have the 4 at the back play tighter away from home and let the full backs defend and the wingers ttack - opposed to making the wingers drop too deep.
