Alnwick has been superb. He has looked a completely different player to the lad who frequently crumbled in a Newcastle shirt last season. Well done to the lad. He'll be up against his brother in our next League game at Vale. Has there ever been two brothers as opposition keepers in a league game - the Springetts perhaps??

 

It may not happen - his brother went off injured today!

Ha! Can you remember when it was rumoured that Joe Anyon was Premiership bound? And when Daniel Lloyd-Weston was invited to Old Trafford so they could take a look at him? Now we've got a genuine find - for free! - in Jak but may let him just walk out of the club in less than 3 months. Doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

 

You can bet Smurf is daily crunching the numbers with a view to keeping Jak :)

People can say what they want about Norman but i honestly think he will come good with the likes of Alnwick.

I swear he gets a glass of vino and has some educated fun winding folk up on here.

Lets face it, some arent a full shilling!

I honestly believe that should we be up there come xmas there will be an onslaught in the market to get us to the championship.

There will never be an easier league 1 to get out of and im sure he is well aware of that.

People bang on about Pope during our promotion season and his goals were key but if it wasnt for the big signing of Lee Hughes, on decent money, we would have never got over the line.

 

I trust Norman to do the very best for our club, on and off the pitch, and i think he is getting more things right than not and along the way making myself eat some humble pie from what i have wrote in the past.

To all scouts reading this page,

 

Everyone is talking rubbish on here, he's not that good and you shouldn't try to sign him. Let him stay here for a few years to develop his skills, he's best off staying at Vale honestly, you don't want him.

 

However, you can have the much better keeper in Sam Johnson for a few quid if you want?

Norman Smurthwaite sign Jak Alnwick up ASAP. Future prospect that will make you a fortune.
Dunna waste you breath Bez. January will see another 'jewel' whisked off for nowt because our owner just doesn't understand the fundamentals of how the thing works. A real pity because Jak and Enoch could bankroll the club for 2 seasons at least.:(

I sincerely hope that you are right Spunka. If so I say save me a big slice of that pie. I've heard it's quite nice with plenty of HP sauce!
