Will be our biggest test of the season so far (certainly in our League anyway).

 

They have got a massive playing budget with them still getting their Premier League parachute payments (apparently their wage budget is 4 or 5 times the size of the team with the 2nd largest budget in League One).

 

Should be a decent atmosphere in Vale Park with them likely to bring a few - I think they will bring at least 1,500+, which they should bring bare minimum considering it's only a 1 hour drive and they can change at Crewe for a relatively easy train journey.

 

Craig Davies and Will Grigg upfront for them will be a handful for our defence. Of the three sides to get relegated from the Championship last season, Wigan have to be the favourites to bounce back at the first attempt via automatic promotion.

 

Feeling optimistic, reckon we will beat them 2-1, after feeling refreshed after a 10-day break.

My thread and it's opening post were intended to put some balance on the two previous threads which seemed to be promoting away games at Bury and Fleetwood rather than our next home game.

Fine, great idea. Tickets and travel topics should really be in the travel section, perhaps it is forgotten about. Unfortunately your thread became mainly about past games, which does not interest everyone. so it was a coin job, otherwise I would have merged the threads. Blame it on the International break, or me.
