He certainly never had a fair crack at the Vale. It's strange that an experienced lower league manager like Cox rates his ability while the so called Vale supporters never gave him a chance, and now take the opportunity of making snide remarks. I wish him well whether at Torquay or elsewhere.

Never had a fair crack?

Im sorry, what?

He had more than a fair chance, I remember his debut it was one of the most inept performances I have seen to this day.

I dont mind if a player joins and dosent have the ability as long as they at least show they care and give it a bit of effort.

Exodus wasnt just an awful footballer, he gave 0% effort as well.

Is Al short for alcoholic? He was ****ing dreadful, in fact I'd go as far as to say he's one of the five worst players I've seen in a Vale shirt in over 25 years of support

Could he? Doubt it personally, possibly thw worst player iv'e ever seen in a Vale shirt - and iv'e been watching nearly 50 years now - God that's a depressing thought!!

Ive been watching a long time as well, and think you are being a little harsh given that he was forced to play when injured by Gannon and had massive pressure from a group of fans every time he touched the ball.

Much worse were players like Bob Delgado, Rocastle, Lipa, and a dozen others who had the ability but sat back and refused to contribute their skills, and we have had some genuinely unskilled shocking players who I would rather not name as they tried their best, and you cant ask much more than that.

Id say Exodus would be pushed to make a top 20 place in Vale's worst of the last 50 years, now there is a back-handed compliment if ever there was one.

I've been going Vale since 1956 and I Haven't seen anyone with less drive, less ability, less team work understanding - well anything less than exodus - He is the tallest bloke I have ever seen who couldn't jump more than 6" of the ground.

the vale supporters were a disgrace at Accrington, too much drink and not enough sense, and some went over the top regarding behaviour and the verbals, exodus wasnt brilliant but neither were most of the team that day,a black spot in the vales history and if the big fella can find a club and earn a living good luck to him I say.

My feelings too, he arrived at the wrong time and for the wrong reason at Vale (Gannon needed a friendly face that he knew) and is certainly good enough for a Conference side. Im glad I wasn't at Accrington that day, I'm told a lot of it was racist.

Don't necessarily agree with David but I'm not sure he'd make my top 5 or even 'worst starting 11'. That would probably be Jermain Holwyn and Chris Slater at CB, Holwyn couldn't stand up and was like a puppet on strings with weak legs, and Slater got outpaced by a 34 year old Simon Yeo for Macc Town when we lost 4-1 at home!:dizzy:

He was rubbish but I think people read too much into and make him the scapegoat for that Accrington match and 'Lucky Jim's' useless tenure at VP. I was at Accy that day and the treatment he received was shocking to say the least and their were far worse players on the pitch!
